The Foiled Amour : A Drabble

He was sitting at the church, pondering how he missed the chance to see her before she died. The girl he loved and waited for all his life. They fell in unconditional love when they were at high school. They held onto each other to get married as they grew up. However, that was too much to ask for a non-catholic boy and a priests daughter. He didn’t give up though. He wanted to get dispensation from a Bishop. He waited for her at the church, but she never came. Forty years later, he was back in this church, mourning.
