If Only I Could Travel Through Time!

There are some days I feel like it would be great if I had 48 hours in a day! Then I could have finished all my works properly. Is that so? I guess, if there were 48 hours in a day (just saying!), we would have to do more works anyway. What is the solution then? I know what you are thinking, A Time Machine! Yes, if I had a time machine, I could have easily went back to the starting of the day and complete the unfinished works from the original timeline. But when you have something as fun as a Time Machine, you do not just use it for boring works, do you?

Today I want to discuss what I want to Write if I had the power to travel through time.

If I Could Time Travel

I would have written a book. Not just any other book. I would have made a series of journal articles for a whole year and then write a book combining those.

The Space To Write : My Writing Habits & Dreams

What does a “Space” mean? Just a place? Well, literally it would mean only a place, but there are more to this word. Space can also mean, the freedom to live, think, and develop in a way that suits one. So if someone asks you what kind of space do you need for writing, I think that question refers to that mental free space, more than any physical space.

Anyway, I started writing today to share my writing habits and spaces. I have discussed earlier about my passion for reading and how that have inspired me to write. If you haven’t read that already then you should definitely check it out.

My Bucket List : Things I Want to Do Within the Next 5 Years

What is a Bucket List?

By definition Bucket list is “a number of experiences or achievements that a person hopes to have or accomplish during their lifetime or a certain time period”. The term gained popularity after the 2007 movie “The Bucket List” where Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson (both of whose characters are dying of cancer) create a bucket list of things to do before they die – and then actually do them! Does that mean you need to have a deathly disease to make a bucket list? NO. Everyone can and should have a bucket list. Because our life in this earth is too short. It’s better to know the things you desire and try to achieve them when you have the time and opportunity rather discovering yourself old one day and realizing how you have wasted your life doing unimportant things which meant nothing to your soul.

So I tried to make a bucket list of my own. But I thought, hey I don’t know where I’m going to be in 5 years of time or what kind of person would I become. So it’s not really logical to make a life long bucket list right now. That’s why I’m making a 5 years bucket list. I think it’s more definitive and more achievable. Why Do I Write?

Writing, to me, is simply thinking through my fingers.

Isaac Asimov

When I was younger, I used to write things up whenever I was emotionally disturbed or depressed. Well, I guess people become thoughtful when they are upset. I used to keep diaries but wasn’t that regular. Sometimes I tried poetry. Sometimes I wrote quotes of my own. I believe the reason behind my writing has lot to do with my passion for reading.

Are We Unlucky or Biased?

Luck, Fate and a bunch of Scattered Thoughts

Luck. A small innocent looking word. But sometimes it may change someones life entirely. Or, does it? An wise man named Tennessee Williams once said,

Luck is believing you’re lucky.

To some extent I believe that too. I believe that a person makes his or her own luck. One thing needs to be clarified here. I am not referring or relating Luck with Fate anyhow. I think those two are completely different things. So, believing in Fate or Destiny is one thing, and believing in Luck is another. For example, every human being is destined to die some day. No one can change that fate. But if you live a long and healthy life with your friends and family, shall we call that being Lucky? No. If you maintain a healthy diet and active lifestyle, don’t have any self-destructive addiction or habit, you are bound to live a healthy life. Next time if you see someone old like that, don’t tell or think that he or she is lucky. Congratulate him/her because of their achievement. Yeah, congratulate them on their well-earned health.

I’m not a big believer in a thing called luck. I believe it has a lot to do with fate and just really having a vision of the way you would see your life.
